Painting to music

After our monogram presentation, we have one last assignment which is to paint to music. I bought two watercolor papers and brought my very precious Daler Rowney watercolor set. The first music genre was Classical. Then the second music Genre was Pop.

My painting:

While listening to the classical music for some reason what came to my mind was
a doll that looks like a realistic girl with a winding clock key on her back

It's time to dance! That was all that came to my mind. A red haired girl dancing her heart out.
I like the songs chosen for the playlist. I felt like dancing but I didn't want to embarrass myself so I painted what I felt.

Monogram assignment (part 4)

I wasn't satisfied with my pattern design so I made another one! Just to make the whole assignment feel complete even though the presentation was over. The OCD side of me struck... haha.

Monogram assignment! (part 3)

It's presentation day! Unfortunately my clumsy self has ruined my first pattern design poster and I had to make a new one at the very last minute. Thanks to Kelly for some of her help and the rest for waiting for me. I am truly sorry for delaying the presentation. I am glad that I managed to finish this assignment. It was indeed a hectic week as there were a lot of submissions from other subjects too. I was happy with the outcome of my items except the patterned design I did. I wished I could have done better, but was limited by time.

Monogram assignment! (part 2)

After my monogram has been finalized. It is time to stencil! I used plastic sheets and sticker papers because they are very reliable and easy to cut out. The colours and theme I chose for this assignment was inspired by one of my favourite shops named "Typo" by Cotton On and one of my favourite songs called "November" by Gabrielle Aplin.

Typo is one of my favourite shops to browse, but not to shop. The items that I usually want are too pricey
:( (given a chance I would actually want everything in that shop). But at least I manage to save up for this mint coloured laptop sleeve that I have been wanting to buy for ages! And I got it for an unexpected discount at the cashier! What a lucky day. Words can't describe how happy I am. *screams*

Back to the monogram assignment...

I used Sharpie because according to some posts on Pinterest,
I have to bake the tea cup to make it permanently there

Used white marker pen and black shapie for this umbrella

For the clear umbrella I decided to do some paint splatter effect

I used blue and purple spray paint

It looks so pretty under the sun!

Monogram Assignment! (part 1)

This assignment requires us to make our own monogram and stencil them on 6 items of our choice. I was excited about this assignment because I have always wanted to make my own products or even start my own product line in the future!

During high school I started my very own business of making felt food. Basically it's felt sewn to look like food. I make felt food as gifts for my friends and families until one day my friend offered to pay for me to make two felt donuts for her sister's birthday. I agreed and gave her a really reasonable price. Not long after I received many orders and I started making more kinds of felt food. The one I was most proud of was that one of my friend asked me to make a giant cake to be brought to Australia for his sister's birthday. It took me a few weeks to make that cake, and the pay was good. Unfortunately I ended my business not long before SPM started, because I have to concentrate on my exams. Some orders had to be cancelled and I felt really bad. I didn't manage start the business again because I found a part time job in a pet shop! Something really exciting and fun to keep me busy and to earn some extra pocket money during the holidays. I worked there until a few days before my first semester in Taylors started.
